A big thank you to our Blue Cross® and Blue Shield® Plan marketing and commercial partners for promoting GeoBlue® and the importance of international health insurance. So far, we’ve identified over 250 assets that Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans have created to support our brand!
We are currently working on transition planning with our Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plan partners. To help ensure consistency, we’re developing standardized messaging to update your materials, including landing pages, marketing materials, presentations and more. We’re also working with BCBSA on connecting with other Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan operational areas to make sure systems that reference GeoBlue are also updated.

Locking Out the Competition: A Domestic Sales Win With a Global Expat Solution

  • A major electronics brand needed an international solution for 156 Korean inpat employees working in the U.S. who were using their BCBS domestic plan for international coverage. A key competitor who previously held the domestic business was knocking at the door.
The outcome
  • We collaborated with the domestic BCBS Plan to deliver a tailored global expat solution, covering critical gaps for these members like medical evacuation, acupuncture and multilingual support.
  • Members enjoyed access to the same U.S. network for both domestic and international plans, ensuring continuity for expats and their families.
  • We worked closely with the Plan’s domestic team to ensure smooth integration, including efficient enrollment and setup of features.
The Total Blue international and domestic solution helped keep the domestic business and prevented the competitor from regaining the account. This win shows how important it is to offer a comprehensive approach to meet both domestic and international needs.
